What do you get at each step of the search?

Clarify the assignment
Separate holding a seat, fixing a problem and building a capability. Agree outcomes, authority, reporting and first priorities.

Look at responsibilities and transferable backgrounds. Existing relationships can inform fresh research, not replace it.
