About the firm
Who we are?
Interim Headhunters is a specialist recruiting firm for interim executives, interim managers and contract professionals. We are based in Miami and work nationwide. A leadership seat can be empty while the business still has a close to finish, customers to serve or a system change to complete. Sometimes the person you need owns the whole function. Sometimes you need the manager or specialist who gets a specific piece of work back under control. We recruit for both.
We start with the assignment, not a familiar title. Who will this person report to? Which decisions can they make? What is waiting for them when they arrive? A controller who must repair the close is a different hire from one who must hold a steady team together during leave. Those details decide where we search and what we ask candidates before you meet them.
There is no upfront fee. You pay only if you engage someone we present. Sending a request does not commit you to a hire. You can review the people we introduce, ask questions and decide whether anyone fits. We discuss the scope and recruiting terms before an engagement, so you know what you are agreeing to.
About the firm
What should the brief say about Part of a family of specialist firms?
We belong to a group of recruiting brands run from Miami. Each is built around an industry or a type of search. The point is practical: the recruiter working your search should already know the jobs, the titles and where the good people work. You should not have to spend the first conversation teaching a recruiter the difference between managing a function and doing the work inside it.
Specialization also means knowing when similar titles describe different jobs. A development director raising donations is not the same person as a development director handling property approvals. A finance leader answering to a sponsor faces different questions from one supporting an owner who has never had an outside executive. We ask about that context before deciding which backgrounds to approach.
The brands share an approach to search, not a claim that every candidate suits every business. We judge each assignment on its own requirements. You can read How We Work for the engagement options and How We Compare for the differences between recruiting models. Neither a longer resume nor a better-known title removes the need to check the actual fit.
About the firm
How we work?
Search Calibration establishes the mandate and decision rights, then Market Mapping identifies the backgrounds worth approaching rather than treating everyone with the title as a prospect. Professional Contact Intelligence helps us reach relevant people directly, while Persistent Personalized Outreach gives people who are already working a clear reason to consider the assignment without depending on a job advertisement. Live Candidate Qualification checks their experience against your actual work, and Candidate Intelligence and Process Support gives you the context for interviews and decisions, including questions about availability or competing opportunities that still need an answer.

What we recruit?
We recruit executives and the managers and professionals working under them, from finance and accounting through operations, people functions, technology and other business disciplines. That can mean finding an executive who takes responsibility for cash and lender reporting, a manager who owns payroll through a conversion, or an accountant who clears unreconciled balances so the finance team can finish the close. The level matters because authority and hands-on work are not interchangeable. We ask whether you need someone to set direction, manage a team or complete a defined assignment. We also ask about the systems they must use and the requirements they cannot learn after arrival. An experienced leader may be right for the decisions but wrong for a task-heavy backlog; a capable specialist may solve the backlog without being the person to lead the function. Our positions index lets you explore the seats we recruit. If your internal title is different, tell us what the person needs to do rather than forcing your brief into the nearest label.

What we promise?
We will make the search brief clear before treating it as ready for outreach. If the reporting line is uncertain or the role combines work that belongs at different levels, we will raise that with you. We check relevant experience rather than relying on a title alone. We bring you options to assess, not an instruction to accept whichever person happens to be available. You remain the decision-maker.
We offer a candidate replacement guarantee on standard search agreements. The applicable period and exact terms are set out in the signed client recruiting agreement.
If your search is confidential, tell us what can be shared and who must not be contacted. We agree outreach boundaries before identifying your business to candidates. Availability and interest need to be checked with the person, not guessed from an online profile. We will discuss unresolved questions with you instead of presenting an assumption as a settled fact.
Ivan or a senior team member will reach out soon.
Call 305-306-4829. Our hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern. Use the form below to tell us the role you need and how to reach you. You can add the background when you are ready; a rough brief is enough to begin a useful conversation.
Questions about the firm
Is this a Miami-only recruiting firm?
No. We are based in Miami and search nationwide for interim executives, managers and contract professionals. The brief decides whether local, relocation or traveling talent fits.
Does the family of brands change who runs my search?
The brands are built around different kinds of recruiting. This site's intake is for Interim Headhunters, and your assignment is scoped for the work described here.
How are recruiting fees agreed?
No upfront fee. You pay only if you engage someone we present. We scope the assignment before quoting; the fee page explains our model.
How soon can we see options?
Availability depends on the assignment and the people who fit it. We qualify interest and commitments rather than promising a shortlist date before the search is scoped.
What if the scope grows?
Discuss new responsibilities before adding them to the engagement. Agree the priorities and record any change to the brief and terms.
Can we extend an engagement?
Discuss what remains unfinished and whether the same responsibility is still needed. Extensions depend on the person's commitments and the agreed engagement terms.
Can the appointment become permanent?
A permanent move can be discussed if both sides want it. Review the future role and the applicable agreement instead of assuming that temporary coverage automatically converts.
How is a confidential search handled?
Tell us what can be disclosed and whom we must not contact. We agree those boundaries before approaching people; do not send sensitive records with an initial brief.
What are the replacement terms?
We offer a candidate replacement guarantee on standard search agreements. The applicable period and exact terms are set out in the signed client recruiting agreement.
What do you not do?
We do not sell job-board reposting as a search or bill hourly for recruiting work. We do not take a retainer unless expressly agreed, and an introduction does not authorize an engagement.
The Six-Step Search
What do you get at each step of the search?
We agree what the person must own before contacting anyone. You see how the search is scoped and which backgrounds we pursue. We speak with candidates about the work before presenting them. The Six-Step Search gives you useful written notes and support through interviews, rather than a pile of applications.
